A reiki session usually lasts around an hour. Hypnotherapy can last up to 2 hours in total.
Indian head massage usually lasts around 30 to 40 minutes.
The packages are for several treatments or over a specific period of time.

In person treatments take place at the Quaker friends meeting house, Skinnergate in Darlington. Booking by appointment only. Please note a £12 booking fee is required too. The remainder payable after your treatment.

Reiki healing only and always works for your highest will and good. Although as practitioners we would never go against what a GP has prescribed for you.
However as a form of complimentary therapy, reiki can help with the effects of harsh evasive medicine, and help with the pain that you may be experiencing.
As well as helping your bodies own healing processes deal with the changes your body is going through, physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually.
I would say to just be an open book, be open to receiving the energy. Have no expectations or thoughts about reiki though!
If you are ever in any doubt, or unsure, feel free to get in touch about what to do, however below I have explained the best way to prepare for your session.
Once an agreed day, date, time has been set, then everything will flow as it is meant to, for your highest will and good.
Just find yourself a quiet space, maybe light some incense, or play some soft music, and relax. Just be. You may experience heat or a coolness on or around your body, colours or tingling.
However you may experience nothing. Just know that the reiki is working on what it needs to for your highest good.
I will contact you after your distance reiki healing, when the session is over, but I will give you time to come round and ground from your session.

Sometimes you may feel warmth, cool, tingling, or fine vibration around your body.
Dont worry, this is totally normal. You may also feel absolutely nothing, and this sometimes gets people frustrated.
It is the human ego which takes over, and expects to feel something. Just know, that you are receiving what you need, at that time, for your highest will and good.
Healing can be at such a deep level, depending on your energy body requirements, that it may take a while to see improvements, however it may also only take one session. We are all individual and unique.
What is Reiki?
Reiki is a gentle, natural energy healing practice that helps your body and mind relax deeply. When we’re relaxed, our bodies are better able to restore balance and support emotional and physical wellbeing.
It’s a calm, nurturing experience that many people describe as peaceful and comforting.
What happens during a Reiki session?
Your session is a quiet, restful time just for you.
You’ll lie down fully clothed in a comfortable position while I gently place my hands on or just above different areas of your body. There’s nothing you need to do — simply relax and allow yourself to rest.
Many people drift into a meditative or sleepy state. Some notice warmth, tingling, or a sense of calm. Everyone’s experience is a little different, and all responses are perfectly normal.
Do I need to believe in Reiki for it to work?
Not at all.
You don’t need any beliefs or prior experience. Reiki isn’t about faith or religion — it’s simply about relaxation and supporting your body’s natural healing abilities.
All you need to do is come with an open mind and a willingness to rest.
What can Reiki help with?
Reiki can gently support many aspects of wellbeing. Clients often come for help with:
• stress and anxiety
• emotional overwhelm
• sleep difficulties
• low mood or fatigue
• physical tension
• feeling out of balance
• or simply needing time to relax and reset
It’s also lovely as regular self-care, even when nothing feels “wrong.”
How will I feel after a session?
Most people feel deeply relaxed, lighter, and calmer.
Some feel energised and clear-headed, while others feel ready for a restful night’s sleep. Occasionally emotions may gently surface as part of releasing tension — this is completely natural and usually passes quickly.
I always recommend drinking water and taking it easy afterwards if you can.
How many sessions will I need?
This really depends on you and what you’re looking for.
Some people book a single session when they need support, while others enjoy regular treatments (weekly or monthly) as part of their wellbeing routine.
We can always talk together and find a pace that feels right for you.
What is Distance Reiki and does it really work?
Yes — distance Reiki can be just as effective as in-person sessions.
Energy isn’t limited by location, so healing can be shared wherever you are. Many clients love receiving Reiki in their own home where they already feel safe and comfortable.
We simply arrange a time, you relax somewhere quiet, and I send the energy just as I would in person.
What should I wear or bring?
Wear anything comfortable and relaxing.
You’ll remain fully clothed throughout the session. You don’t need to bring anything — just yourself. You might like to bring water or plan some quiet time afterwards.
Is Reiki safe?
Reiki is very gentle and non-invasive, making it safe for most people, including children and older adults.
It works alongside conventional medical care but doesn’t replace professional medical advice or treatment. If you have any health concerns, it’s always best to speak with your doctor too.
I feel nervous — is that normal?
Completely normal.
Trying something new can feel a little uncertain, especially when it involves relaxation or energy work. My role is to make you feel comfortable, safe, and supported at all times.
